The UK’s only World Heritage City
It’s difficult to single out one or two must-see landmarks in Bath, because there are over 5,000 listed buildings. The entire City has been designated a World Heritage Site, and so it is the City as a whole that draws visitors from all over the world.
At the heart of Bath, though, are the Roman Baths Museum and Thermae Bath Spa. If you’re short on time, don’t leave without immersing yourself in either the history or the water – and preferably both.
From Bailbrook House Hotel you can be in the City or open countryside within minutes.
Cleanse your soul and sharpen your appetite with a long walk – the nearby Kennet and Avon canal winds through an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Or indulge the materialist within, by visiting Bath’s varied and interesting shops.
Or satisfy all of your instincts by strolling across the old tollbridge, along the canal into town, and then taking a riverboat back. Exercise. Beauty. Shopping. Travel. Back to Bailbrook. If that sounds good, give us a call: 01225 855100.
